Plans are progressing well for the opening round of the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Dalby Forest, Yorkshire, so the following information has been pulled together to ensure you're up to date with all the key information and are progressing with your plans to compete at the event.

COMPETITION VENUE
Event Village:
The organising team is progressing well with plans to create a superb Event Village which will contain all of the areas you and your team require including:
• Dedicated Team parking area
• Technical Area
• Expo and Retail Area
• Dedicated showers
• Bike wash facilities
• Catering Area

Course Information:
Yorkshire has been under a significant volume of snow over the last two months and as a result the Organisers have not been able to access the course it in its entirety. However, the snow is starting to thaw and therefore a GIS of the course including elevations will be posted on the website and circulated to all Team Managers soon.

ACCOMMODATION
Special accommodation arrangements have been made within the surrounding area in order to provide teams with a variety of options and costs in order to select the hotel to suit your needs.
It is important that you book your accommodation as soon as possible. The Organisers are able to assist you in this process to help ensure you select the type of
accommodation which will suit the needs of you and your team. The event venue is located in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside so accommodation in the surrounding area has been block booked by the Organisers to ensure availability for Teams is secured. However we can't hold this accommodation forever, therefore please help us to help you get the best option and price possible by contacting us as soon as possible.

PRO SPRINT ELIMINATOR
The last time the UCI met with the teams to discuss the future of the sport a clear message came across; we need more going on over a World Cup weekend. Well the team at the Yorkshire, Dalby Forest World Cup listened!
The Pro-Sprint Eliminator has a short, exciting race format that takes the event to the public a couple of days before the serious stuff starts so the fans can identify with the riders, and the riders and team managers can win some money and take some extra media and promotional exposure back to their sponsors; everyone gets some additional return on their weekend without detracting from the World Cup, and without any extra costs!

SPECTATOR GIVE-A-WAYS
We have the legendary Dan and Chris to commentate on the weekends racing. They will ensure the crowd is fully informed, gets involved and supports the riders. To keep the crowd happy they are hoping to get some free give-a-ways from the teams to throw out to the crowd.
Therefore, when you are packing to come to Yorkshire it would be great if you could include a few extras that the guys could use to promote your team and ensure the crowd stays entertained and ready for the racing.
