Julien Absalon and Iñaki Lejarreta will perform at the best, while Rubén Ruzafa is recovering from an injury. Last October Ruzafa hurt his wrist attending the 2009 edition of Xterra World Championships.
"Julien fells well . Suddenly, when he started training, his physical condition improves. Iñaki did great last Winter. Rubén is still recovering from his wrist's fracture. This competition will represent an important test to verify how he can really perform" Barandiarán confirmed.

The main goal of Orbea Racing Team coincides with the 2010 World Championships, which is scheduled in Mont St. Anne (Canada) at the beginning of September. The Team will attend the UCI World Cup series, which has been dominated by Julien Absalon in the past 4 editions. Twice Olympic Champion won the overall ranking in 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

"Our main goals coincide with World Championships and World Cup series' overall rankings. Julien's priority is to collect World Championships' title and maintain his leadership in World Cup series. Open de Espana will be the most important seasonal appointment for Iñaki and Rubén, which have to confirm their leadership in Spain" Orbea Racing Team's Technical Manager said.
Orbea Racing Team ended at the 2nd place in the 2009 UCI Team overall ranking, but the 1st place and the leadership is the most important goal. "We aim to collect more results and successes. We will try to lead the UCI Team ranking" Ixio said.
Next weekend Orbea Racing Team will be tested in Maremma Cup.
